What We Do

Our History:

Since 1997, Brooks Consulting has conducted extensive research on career and leadership success strategies.  We have interviewed hundreds of leaders and leadership educators at organizations worldwide to identify new trends in this area of research.  We have also worked with many organizations that are recognized leaders in their fields.

Our Goals:

Forward-looking organizations recognize that, to compete in today's fast-paced and increasingly global environment, all employees must feel that they play a leadership role within their organization - facilitating peer-team project management; streamlining customer service solutions; cutting costs; seeking innovative product applications; and identifying new markets, in addition to leading others.

Through ongoing dialogues with leaders in industry, academia, government, the military, and public administration, we strive to offer a broad and diverse perspective on career and leadership success for organizational members at every level.

Our aim is to present an analysis of new approaches to career and leadership advancement, as well as a review of best practices from organizations that are recognized for their leadership success.  We hope to stimulate thought-provoking dialogue on these innovative initiatives, and to provide a forum for organizational members to share knowledge and to build relationships across functions and divisions.

Our Approach:

Our customized presentations combine an overview of our research and a highly-interactive discussion of its relevance to your organization. We integrate networking opportunities into all of our programs. Depending on program length and format, we also offer solutions-based, small group facilitations, in which participants can apply what they have learned to address a real-life situation specific to your department, division, organization, or field.

Our Audience:

We have worked with the following organizational areas for clients in the U.S. and abroad:

Senior organizational leaders who are interested in reviewing best practices for benchmarking purposes and/or validating their approaches to leadership strategy.

Career and leadership development practitioners involved in sponsoring workshops for early career employees (1-5 years); emerging leaders (first-time supervisors through upper middle management); and high potential individuals.

Affinity groups within organizations, particularly Women's Initiatives.

Leadership educators at academic institutions in the U.S. and abroad.

Leadership and Human Resource Development practitioners seeking independent research on specific issues within their organization.
